| The Daily Walk Bible is written in the New Living Translation, the book not only explains the process chosen to organize the book but gives you good insight and understanding into how the NLT text is geared toward today's understanding and use of words, thoughts etc... I am more of a King James Version, New International Version reader but I liked the NLT. The devotion allows you to pause and think about the text you've read and how it applies to your life and your daily challenges. It gives you space to pray about a situation that may apply to what you've just read. It's a walk through the bible setup and you don't miss a thing. | The Daily Walk Bible is a standard bible (either NLT or NIV) with synopses added that greatly enhance your understanding of the bible's messages. These synopses appear each day prior to your reading. Additionally, each Book of the bible contains a synopsis describing that Book's content, time period, and relevance to other Books in the bible. Finally, about every seven days there is a 'Look Ahead / Look Back' synopsis that helps the reader keep things in perspective in terms of what material has been covered and what is to come. I have found no better Daily Devotional. | My wife and I have found this to be an invaluable tool in reading the Word of God on a daily basis. I have been reading for the past 10-12 years and even when you miss a day you can pickup on the day where you are and still continue the journey. The best part compared to other One Year Bibles it gives you insight as to what you will be reading everyday as well as life application that brings relevance (particularly when you are in the historical sections of The Old Testament).
