Item Description... This proven systematic theology represents the very best in evangelical theology. Stanley Grenz presents the traditional themes of Christian doctrine -- God, humankind, Christ, the Holy Spirit, the church, and the last things -- all within an emphasis on God's central program for creation, namely, the establishment of community. Masterfully blending biblical, historical, and contemporary concerns, this new edition of Grenz's respected work provides a coherent vision of the faith that is both intellectually satisfying and expressible in Christian living.
Gift of Grace Books was established to glorify God in thanksgiving for his abundant grace.
2 Corinthians 4:15 "All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God." |

Reviews - What do our customers think?
 | Importance of Community - it is written. Nov 1, 2007 |
| Though THEOLOGY brings to mind "difficult to understand at best," Grenz is very good at explaining his text. I am enjoying this book and it has brought to my conscious mind thoughts and truths that have hovered in my subconscious for some time. | | | | Quality Review of Theology Dec 13, 2006 |
| I also bought this book for a introduction to theology class I have to take at school and it along with McGrath's book are two of only a handful of books that I have not immediately sold after the class was over. This book has been a great resource in helping me to better understand the different theological topics. Also, it is nice to have a reference to turn to when you are unsure of issues in theology and this book is just that. Though, it is long, it is manageable because of the usage of the book as a resource. | | | | An excellent theological work for this generation. Nov 10, 2006 |
| Every generation needs theologians willing to wrestle with the challenging task of communicating the timeless theological truths of the Bible in the cultural and linguistic setting of the day. Such work is difficult because it requires the theologian to "draw lines" between rigid doctrinalism and syncretism. Stanley Grenz's work provides an excellent example of such a task well done. Theology for the Community of God is easy to read without going "soft" on the often counter-cultural claims of the Bible. I highly recommend it for the serious Bible student and for the average person seeking a deeper understanding of the Christian faith. | | | | Extremely informative May 3, 2006 |
| Grenz writing is extremely accessable. Any student of theology at any level of their education could find this book to be a great source. It's got something to say about just about every subject you could ask for. His approach is very objective; he represents every side of the argument very fairly. It's impossible not to like this book if you like theology. | | | | A great resource for theology Mar 21, 2006 |
This book will be a great lasting legacy for a great pastor/scholar who was recently taken home to be with the Lord.
Stan Grenz's lasting contribution to theology and the community of God was his emphasis on trinitarian doctrine and its implications for the people of God.
