Item Description...
2008-God's Final Witness reveals the timing of catastrophic end-time events that will escalate worldwide and result in the total demise of the United States within two years. Ronald Weinland states that 2008 will mark the beginning of the final events that will thrust the world into the great tribulation, which will usher in World War III. This last war will be the result of clashing religions and the governments they sway. This latest book explains end-time prophecies and the reasons such destructive events must come to pass. It also tells of God's intervention to save mankind from his self-imposed destruction, the end of man's self-rule, and the beginning of God's government being established over all nations. 2008-God's Final Witness is a revelation of the Book of Revelation. Ronald Weinland states that he has been given the task of revealing the truth about those things John wrote. This book also reveals the Seven Thunders of the Book of Revelation, which the apostle John was not allowed to record.
Gift of Grace Books was established to glorify God in thanksgiving for his abundant grace.
2 Corinthians 4:15 "All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God." |

 | HAS WEINLAND DOWNGRADED JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT? Jan 3, 2009 |
I read pertinent Bible texts to check the validity of Weinland's "TRUTHS". If he is really chosen by God to be one of the two end-time witnesses, I am not supposed to discredit him, nor anyone should. But I want to make clarifications on what he wrote about Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
COMMENT ON JESUS AS NOT ETERNAL AS THE FATHER BECAUSE HE WAS BORN OF A WOMAN:
This may be true, in the sense that God came as a man, and all men die, but this truth about Jesus cannot really be explained properly in human terms because Jesus is both MAN and GOD. As man he has a beginning and an end, although for a while; man is limited. Jesus said in John 14:28: "If you loved me you would be glad that I am going to the Father for THE FATHER IS GREATER THAN I." This is just a manner of speaking for Jesus, as man, who was to die and stay dead for three days. Later he would be resurrected and be united with the Father.
As God, Jesus is eternal like the Father. Read the whole chapter of the gospel of John. Jesus is described as the WORD. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning."
In John 1:1, it is clear that Jesus was with God the Father from the beginning of time. Keep in mind that God's essence is different from ours. He has no past, present and future. His perspective is different. He sees everything at once.
In John 1:3, it is clear that Jesus was likewise co-Creator with God the Father: "Through him, all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made."
In John 17:5, Jesus said: "And now Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I HAD WITH YOU BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN."
COMMENT ON THE HOLY SPIRIT AS NOT A PERSON BUT POWER
This is an unfortunate phrasing because God is a Spirit. We will never find the right words to explain the nature of God. That's why He told Moses, when he asked what he would tell the Israelites to just say that "I AM" was sending him (Moses) to them. How do you adequately describe God or what title would you give Him? Do you describe Him as a person, spirit, entity, being or power? He is all of that in his different manifestations and more. So to say that the Holy Spirit is not a person but a power is both true in human terms, and false or insufficient in God's terms.
I hope Weinland has not downgraded Jesus and the Holy Spirit in his attempt to point out the doctrinal errors of churches, specifically the Catholic church. | | | | Review: God's Final Witness Jun 6, 2008 |
To start, I seldom have time to write reviews online, but after finding this authors book, and downloading it for free, I did so, and felt strongly to writing this author. Because on this authors website, he welcomes e mail, I wrote this letter to him, and for which I would like to share here, to serve as my review, rather than rewrite it all in review form. I should also mention, that although this author welcomes e mail, the e mails bounce back to your mailbox (unread by him)!!!...at least mine did, and yet, he states he is the one who holds truth, yet has no time to listen to others point of opinion? After all, if one holds the TRUTH, and the sole truth alone, they are not fearful to at least listen to others opinions (as my own), even if others are wrong, right? LOL
Anyway, this is what I wrote him, and although it is not positive, I do applaud him for at least giving his book away for free for download on his site.
Dear Sir:
I wanted to let you know that I was delighted to discover your latest book on the Internet, and More so, to see that you offered it free for download, which is as it should be, if the information given in the book was a gift by God to give to mankind.
What captured my interest at first, was your outlook on the mass confusion existing in the world, on all levels, and primarily so, as the result of religions, which I am in 100 percent agreement with you on.
I should also note, that growing up, my family listened to Mr. Armstrong and read much of his material. With that said however, I went on in life to study the three major religions in depth over a course of many years.
Much of what you state about the three major religions is true...both good and bad, however, I have come to the conclusion, that you are not a prophet sent by God, as you so boldly declare in your book.
First, if you study history, most if not all true prophets of God, never declare themselves to be so, for that would involve ego satisfaction. The final two witnesses, also will not be declaring to be prophets, though, the believers in the world at the time, will recognize who they are. Like Moses however, they may say they have been sent by the 'I AM', or God, but usually still in all humbleness never state they are prophets. Usually, other listeners, will soon declare them to be prophets, because of their knowledge base, but seldom if ever, does the prophet himself state he is a prophet...it is a title given to them by others.
Secondly, prophets of God, make no error in their message, which you have in several places in your book. I have no time to give you a detailed outline summary of your errors, but I can point out a couple here, and if you follow your own declared reasoning in your own words, in your own book, then you will understand.
One of the mistakes you make, is by stating the concept of purgatory originated with the Catholics. WRONG! The concept originated with the Jews and Judaism. Do your history study more carefully! The first Christians too, were all Jews, who became believers in Christ, and the first Christian church birthed forth from them was the Catholic church. It only stands to reason, that the oldest Christian religion would adopt some of the 'truths' of Judaism, since the first Christians (the disciples, apostles etc...), were Jews, and still held to some of their beliefs. All other Christian doctrines that have splintered off from the Catholic church, and through the decades, are considered New Age thinking!
Furthermore, the concept of purgatory, although sometimes referred to as a place, is more of a 'state' of purification for souls who believe in God and love Him, yet have not come into full repentance for their sins while on earth. God cannot allow anything impure to enter into His Kingdom, thus, a process of divine purification on the soul must take place first.
You also imply that the concept of the Trinity is false? How so. Think: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost! ONE SOURCE, WITH THREE DIVINE 'NATURES'...NOT THREE PERSONS! YES, GOD CAN DO ALL THINGS....CREAT A WHOLE UNIVERSE, AND EVEN VISIT US IN HUMAN FORM, AS IN HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. A SON, COMES FROM HIS FATHER....HE IS A PART OF HIS FATHER!
Even a child with little understanding can understand this concept! In physics, if one were to take an ice cube and add steam to it, what happens? The ice cube melts, and becomes water, with some steam vapors also releasing. Their was ONE original source...the ice cube, which had become three states of matter...Ice, water, steam vapors. Without disrespect to God, and for purpose only of making an analogy, consider the Ice cube in its solid state to be God, and the water that develops upon melting, as Gods Son...Jesus Christ (who has stated He is the Living Water), and the the steam, as like unto the Holy Ghost!
Also, Jesus did indeed appoint a leader of His church to take over after Christ resurrected into Heaven...his name was Peter, and from Peter others would follow, and to be appointed. Christ taught to be obedient to Him through His church. The bible declares the pillar of truth to be the church of Christ. Christ being divine, also had every authority to change whatever He wanted to, being that He was and is indeed Gods Son!
Jesus also healed and taught on the Sabbath, and declared that the Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath! Another words, man should indeed keep the Sabbath holy, but is not enslaven to it. Also, you confuse the Sabbath...which is Saturday, with the Lords Day, which is on Sunday, and in celebration of the risen Lord Jesus! Sunday is fine to worship on, as is any day of the week, but it is not a Sabbath. And even if Sunday were treated as a Sabbath for Christians, it does not matter, for God knows what lies within the heart of mankind, and that is what matters. Furthermore, CHRIST HIMSELF BECAME THE NEW SABBATH. CHRIST WAS THE NEW PASSOVER LAMB! CHRIST ALSO DECLARED THAT THROUGH HIM, ALL THINGS BECOME NEW! HE ALSO DECLARED THAT HE DID NOT COME TO CHANGE THE LAWS (THE TEN COMMANDMENTS), BUT CAME TO 'FULFILL' THEM! IN HIM AND THROUGH HIM, ALL BECOMES COMPLETE!
AND FOR THE RECORD...I DON'T CARE HOW THE PAGANS WORSHIPPED, OR THAT SOME SAY CHRISTIANS INHERITED THE PRACTICE OF SUNDAY AFTER THE PAGANS SUNDAY HOLIDAYS! WHAT MATTERS IS WHAT RESIDES IN THE HEART OF MAN, AND IF CHRISTIANS LOVE CHRIST, AND WORSHIP HIM ON HIS LORDS DAY, THEN THAT IS ALLOWED. GOD CARES ABOUT THE HEART. SAME GOES FOR EASTER AND CHRISTMAS. IF SOME UNBELIEVERS LIKE SANTA AND BUNNY RABBITS, INSTEAD OF THE RELIGIOUS MEANING FOR THE HOLIDAYS, THEN THAT IS THEIR PROBLEM! All are free to follow sin or to follow God.
The Holy Scriptures (New Testament) declare too, that we are not to let anyone condemn us for what holidays we celebrate...days, times, etc.
And whatever the pagans celebrated, doesn't mean that the faithful are also celebrating the same holidays, in the same like manner. WE, THROUGH CHRIST, HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE THEM!
God cares little about technical issues and trivial matters...HE CARES ABOUT THE HEART! Furthermore, ask any religious Jew, and THEY WILL TELL YOU, THAT GENTILES ARE NOT TO CELEBRATE THE SABBATH AS THEY DO...as in their delivery out of Egypt.
There are many WRONG accusations you make in your book, so I immediately determined you to be yet another FALSE PROPHET! Actually, my intuition feels you are working in the spirit of anti-Christ, and you are contributing more to the mass confusion in the last days that scriptures tell us would occur. There are truly very, very, few of us true Christians left...yes, I am one of the true ones, but I am no prophet! LOL
And for the record...I currently have no organized religious affiliation. I follow only Christ's teachings.
Good Day, and God Bless.
P.S. Hope you are not offended? But if so, just remember to take what you dish out, and practice what you preach.
Your church also should have forgiven Mr. Armstrongs son!!!!! But you did not, so where is the love and forgiveness, you preach?
Finally, Look up all the biblical and other references on your own. That is the best way for you to learn...look it all up yourself!
Just do your homework before writing a book, about matters you know little about. As for the disasters etc....ANYONE CAN SEE WHAT IS GOING ON, IF THEY ARE BELIEVERS IN HOLY SCRIPTURES! Even if they are not believers, common sense alone see's disasters are ramping up! The earth indeed is changing, as it always has every few thousand years or so.
Finally, and even pertaining to any truths in the world, be it religion, politics, etc., do get muddied up by the fautly human characteristics of people. Truth remains truth, even in religion, but the hearts of men in those institutions can cause a tainted smoke screen, so others cannot see the truth clearly.
| | | | The greatest lies have truth at their center. May 28, 2008 |
I admit that I got half way through this book and had to put it down. It would seem that the author is confusing the order in which the "End Times" will occur per the Bible. It also speaks of one religion, one government etc. which should set off numerous alarm bells in your mind. He does quote scripture and he does spin a lovely tapestry in which to cover his lies. There are true things here and interesting concepts but the thought that he is one of the two prophets? Please. An effective lie carries a small amount of truth within it.
The book befuddled me in a way I have not experienced often and I feel that this person is in serious need of some sort of mental evaluation. It is probably closer to the truth to say that he is one of the many deceivers who will be sent as the "End Times" approach. Jesus told us "Test all things and hold fast to that which is good" 1 Thessalonians 5:21. This person says, "trust me, God said to just trust me." No thank you, sir. | | | | Do not read this book May 22, 2008 |
I read the first page of this book and had a bad feeling about it. I was distracted by some spelling and grammatical errors...and upon completing the first chapter, I had written "FALSE PROPHET" at least ten times. The truth is not always what you read...even in the Bible. The truth is what you know in your heart and soul. This book did not enlighten me. I hated that someone else was trying to force religion down my throat again. God loves me, you, and even those people who try to deceive us.
Ronald Weinland is an example of why so many people turn away from God--they get sick of hearing all the negativity, and they hate being told to believe "what I tell you, or else" all the time. God talks to all of us, even those who do not believe in Him. The problem is that we do not take the time to listen anymore...because people like Weinland think they get special messages from God--and we wonder why they are so important--then we either turn away from God to escape the craziness, or we lose God the minute we believe Weinland (or others like him).
We all know what happens when people start following CULT leaders. These poor souls lose everything...their money, identities, families, friends, and everything else that matters. They often lose their lives if they do not stay in the group...and they often lose their lives when the leaders decide "it is time to leave the human world and take a comet ride..."
Man has never truly ruled itself. Those of us who believe in God (or any higher power) know that God has always ruled over us. God allows us free will to do as we please, and we will pay for our evils when we die. Take away our "self-rule" (free will), then we are no longer human--we become puppets...essentially NOTHING. God allegedly created the universe out of nothing..."from where you came, you shall return."
Here are a couple positive messages I would like to share: 1. "God created everything in his own image" means that he created every last detail of Creation exactly as he wanted it to be. He did not create us to be "like God" because he knows that is too much of a burden. 2. God did not create the universe out of nothing. God created it out of the one thing that has always existed...HIMSELF. (If we are created from nothing, then we are nothing...and I do not like that idea.) | | | | Paranoid-schizophrenic May 9, 2008 |
Were it not for the fact that this book came to me free of charge through the post, I would never even consider reading it. Since it did, I read it just out of curiosity. The author gives account of his mission here on Earth, given to him by God Himself, and tries to explain the mysteries of God, mankind, life, etc. Although some of what he says has a certain logic to it and could explain the many discrepancies and paradoxes in most religions, he fails to convey a plausible argument for his words, creating new and more complex paradoxes which he also fails to see and explain. Written in a somewhat patronising way, the book seems to have the purpose of what mainstream readers would call brainwashing. Repetitive and borderline paranoid-schizophrenic, R. Weinland fails miserably at setting any strong and valid foundations for his claims. The book is so full of paradoxes that it would be tedious to mention them all. One example is his view that Adam and Eve were the first humans on Earth and that they were created by God 6000 years ago (circa 4000 BC). For this to be true, mathematically and statistically, every woman since then should have had an average of 27 children at the best conditions possible for today's population to be reached. I say at the best conditions because this statistic ignores the low life expectancy of those times, the high infant mortality, wars, plagues, disease, etc. Not to mention the Great Deluge he mentions, when mankind was practically wiped out at the time of Noah. How many women do you know had 27 children? One other example is when he mentions that the European Union will become a United States of Europe of 10 countries by 2008. It is May 2008 as I write these lines and I very much doubt that if such an improbable thing was to happen, it would never happen within the next 8 months. To put it plainly, this man should be seen either as a big crook or as a demented ego-maniac paranoid-schizophrenic with delusions of grandeur. Why do people bother with such trash? It hurts to think that precious trees were wasted to make the paper on which this rubbish was printed. | | | | Good for the Humour Value - hard to believe that the author isn't joking May 8, 2008 |
If you accept that human beings are generally rational, thinking beings, you should have a hard time believing this book is anything but an elaborate hoax.
"the world is about to enter a time of destruction that will ultimately end 6,000 years of man's government - man's self rule."
2008 - God's Final Witness , by "End Time Prophet of the God of Abraham" Ronald Weinland, is a classic example of nutty apocalyptic prophecy. Reading it is like reading the script of a tongue in cheek comedy:
"Over the century's , people have seen natural disasters and predicted that man was at the end time of Bible prophecy. But throughout time, they have been wrong. The Bible has much to say about such times, therefore it has been a natural consequence that these "religious" people have made such predictions. The difference is that now it is true! We have entered the end-times."
In the original words like "now" are in bold, without any apparent sense of irony. Seriously, the guy actually says that there have been lots of previous end times prophecy's because people have read significance into the occurrence of natural disasters, but they were wrong. And he admits that this is an end time's prophecy based on the supposed significance of natural disasters, but "The difference is that now it is true!".
Check out the following examples Weinland gives that the world is ending:
"In 2004, a great tsunami, originating in the Indian Ocean, struck several countries with massive destructions ... The United States witnessed a record breaking year for hurricanes in both number and magnitude ... Letters of the greek alphabet have never been used to name storms, but even now in December Hurricane Epsilon has become the fifth named storm in the Greek Alphabet. In August Hurricane Katrina produced the greatest destruction from a natural disaster ever seen in the U.S.. ... This devastation is so great that there is not enough time to rebuild it before this age of man comes to an end"
And of course Ronald Weinland foresaw all of this, in his previous book The Prophesied End Time.
"These events are occurring exactly these books say"
He foresaw it! Well, he foresaw it in about the same way psychic John Edwards speaks to the dead. Oooga booga, there will be hurricanes!
You can see why I might suspect that this book is a parody. But a parody would be more readable. There is something about the writings of the religiously deluded that is so indigestible.
There are the paragraphs that ask hypothetical questions or talks about "The two clear proofs". Obviously the author believes they are highly significant, but they're then never answered or explained in any clear fashion. They are then followed by yet more chapters asking similar "significant" or "ground breaking" questions that will supposedly reveal great insights into the truths of the author's delusion, but are then again not answered in any clear fashion. I still couldn't tell you what Weinland's "Two clear proofs" are, and not for lack of searching.
There is the extensive talk about the "Seven Thunders of the Book of revelation, which the apostle John saw but was restricted from recording". Thankfully the author is in direct communication with god, and he can thus tell you what John saw, and what it all means.
Apocalyptic delusionists are often accused of being wishy washy, the apocalypse will occur "in my lifetime" for example. Not with Weinland, the apocalypse is scheduled for July this year. And it will take 3.5 years, and then Ronald will die!
"I am to announce, through god's direct revelation, I am one of those two witnesses [which god will send to witness the apocalypse, or some such nonsense]. The other witness will be revealed to the world during the time of great tribulation - within the final three and one half years of man's era. During that period of time, we will, together, completely fulfil all that god has given us to witness to this whole earth. Then at the end, we will die in the streets of Jerusalem; and finally, exactly three and one half days later we, we will be resurrected (Revalation 11). The world will see this resurrection via television."
I could poke fun at this guy all day. The more you read, the more scatter brained the ideas become, and the greater the author's abuse of punctuation. Ronald Weindland seems like just another example of what happens when you take religion seriously.
p.s why pay for it, he gives it away free on his website. | | | Write your own review about 2008 God's Final Witness
