It's easy to feel alone when times are tough or you are afraid, but God is always with you listening to your prayers! These two beloved Hermie & Friends stories illustrate God's constant love for us.
In Webster, the Scaredy Spider, an easily frightened spider named Webster learns that he can be brave because God is always with him. Webster is scared of everything, and everyone is scared of him because he is a spider! So when Webster arrives in the garden, all of the bugs learn that they can be brave when they trust in God. And they discover that sometimes things that frighten you turn out not to be scary at all once you face your fears!
In Stanley the Stinkbug Goes to Camp, all of the bugs in the garden learn to embrace each other's differences, no matter how strange or stinky they may be! When Stanley the Stinkbug arrives at camp, it becomes evident pretty quickly that he's not like the other bugs-he stinks! But once Hermie and his friends realize that Stanley stinks because he's scared of being around new people, they help him feel more comfortable and remind him to trust in God when he feels afraid.
