| The book is convicting. For some, they would think you were nuts for just considering loving your God enough to give Him all you have. The reader, who is also the author, is a little slow and does not put much expression in his voice. I was okay with that, and listened to the book twice. | This is one of the most challenging Christian books I have read in a number of years. The teaching in it continues to rock me. If you read it too lightly it can come across as works-based salvation, but it is clear this is not his purpose. In fact, in the accompanying DVD he goes to great pains to make that point. But the author has no problems calling us to the a life of obedience that is real and authentic. No "cheap grace" here. Not recommended for people who are young in their faith and/or prone to trying to ear God's salvation. | I enjoyed listening to the audio version of this book. The author's down-to-earth, conversational style is refreshing. He encourages his readers to step out of spiritual ruts and to pursue a passionate relationship with God. Since God has shown such great love toward us, what else can our hearts do but to pursue him with love in response? I didn't find any profound or earth-shaking concepts here, but it was an extremely inspirational read. As a Christian, if you haven't read a book for some time that calls you back to your love relationship with God, you need to read this one. If you're looking for a good devotional title, this one would be an excellent choice as well. It's certainly worth the money and time spent. There is absolutely no pretense here - the author simply opens his heart to his readers.
