Item Description... Her relationship with fianc Paul Waddell in tatters, Hannah Lapp has fled her secluded Old Order Amish community in hopes of finding a new home in Ohio with her shunned aunt. Hampered by limited education and hiding her true identity, Hannah struggles to navigate the confusing world of the Englischers.
Back in Owl's Perch, Pennsylvania, Paul is wracked with regret over his treatment of Hannah. Fearing for her safety, he tries to convince Hannah's remaining allies--brother Luke, best friend Mary, and loyal Matthew Esh--to help search for his love. Hannah's father, however, remains steadfastly convinced of her sinful behavior. His blindness to his family's pain extends to her sister, Sarah, who shows signs of increasing instability.
Convinced her former life is irreparably destroyed, Hannah finds purpose and solace in life with her aunt and in a growing friendship with Englischer Martin Palmer. Will the countless opportunities in her new life persuade Hannah that her place is amongst the Englischers--- or will she give in to her heart's call to return home and face her past?

 | The strength to Overcome May 24, 2010 |
| After reading the first book "When the heart cries" -( which I put aside for a couple of weeks at first because it was so depressing although when I picked it up again I found it a very good read - I just wasn't in the mood for the first one at that time). I couldn't wait to begin this one "When morning comes" and it has been so interesting I hated for it to end. Hannah is not an unbeleivable person of great strenght and courage but a person who because of a real need and a positive determination managed to overcome so many obstables to her young life from a very terrible experience she was not able to avoid that she inspired me to work harder at overcoming obstacales in my life. This is a well written book and I recommend it to everyone. The characters are so well defined that they just come to life. I always get the set of books at once because I want the next one ready when I am and I have the third "When the soul mends" and will start it right away. Cindy Woodsmall knows how to carry a good story line from beginning to end , no tiresome pages are in this book - everything leads to a place where another part is alreaday in the making and the interest just heightens. | | | | Great Read! | I enjoyed the first book in this series very much, and so looked forward with anticipation to the next installment of the series. I wasn't disappointed! "When the Morning Comes" has several new plot twists and turns that keep the reader guessing. By the end of the book, you feel that you know the characters personally. I heartily recommend this book. | | | | Excellent series to read. Feb 17, 2010 |

| I bought this book for my mother in law because I enjoyed the series so much. It is good wholesome reading. | | | | Halfway Point of a Good Triligy Sep 14, 2009 |
| I purchased the first book of this series "When the Heart Cries" craving something new to read and wasn't quite sure exactly what. Being that this book was in the Christian section of the book store and it's story line was based on the Amish society, I took a chance on it. After reading the first one I was hooked and purchased the following two, "When the Morning Comes" and "When the Soul Mends". The reason I give this series of books 4 stars is just because it seemed a bit draggy towards the ending section of this second one. I thought to myself, "get on with it" and I admit to flipping to the middle of the third book to see where the story was leading. After peaking, I was again interested in knowing the whole story. I am glad to have this series on my shelf and have already passed it along to a friend who is right now on the third book and is enthralled with it, anxious to know the ending. | | | Write your own review about When the Morning Comes: Book 2 in the Sisters of the Quilt Amish Series (Sisters of the Quilt)
