Welcome to this new study for young athletes! Like many of you, our children have shown interest in several sports over the years, and we have been supportive of their efforts. We encourage them to use their abilities as best they can, and let their Christian character shine through their actions both on and off the field. Athletes of the Bible includes study sections on David, Elijah, Samson, Peter, Paul, and Jesus. This study contains fourteen study sections, and each one should take approximately 20 minutes -- you can have your students do one or two sections a week, learning about these men from a new perspective - the importance of their athletic abilities as they faced challenges and situations in their lives. Teaching about the history of Israel as well as Christianity and athletic abilities, it sheds new light on character values that need to be gleaned from the Holy Bible.
